Day 2: Transfer to Torres del Paine. Hike. Night cabins
After breakfast, we will transfer into Torres del Paine. Our drive takes us along one of the more beautiful roads in the area which takes us south of Sarmiento Lake to a remote but beautifully located estancia on the southern Park perimeters close to Laguna Verde.

After some time to enjoy the scenery we will pack our day packs and start hiking around the shores of the lake towards the granite monoliths of the Paine Massif. Our day's hike takes us past a myriad of remote lakes, all of which offer a stunning mountain backdrop.

After a few hours walking we will arrive at the Mirador del Toro where we can enjoy the far reaching views of Torres del Paine and the Balmaceda mountain ranges. After a descent of the Sierra we will meet our transfer vehicle which will take us across the much photographed Puente Weber and on to the Serrano River where we will spend the night.

Our night will be spent in basic but beautifully located cabins which comprise of 2 or 3 bedrooms in a small cabin with shared bathroom and kitchen where the guide/cook prepares meals.  All meals included (with wine at dinner).

Laguna Verde
Day 3: Hike to Lake and Glacier Grey. Night Cabins
After breakfast we will driving the short distance to Lake and Glacier Grey where we will be spending the morning walking along the shores admiring the floating icebergs and immense glacier Grey in the distance.

For those with the energy (and depending on the weather) we will extend our hiking with a walk to the beautiful Mount Ferrier lookout which is situated in the south western section of the Park with far reaching views from its summit.

Day 4: Full day exploring Park. Transfer to Estancia
After breakfast we will be packing up and setting out on a full day exploring Torres del Paine with visits to waterfalls, scenic lookouts and areas where wildlife congregate such as the pampas and grassy valleys close to Laguna Amarga (Bitter Lake).

Plenty of time to enjoy short walks (snow shoes provided) and photograph some of the area's exotic wildlife.

Afternoon drive east to the pampas that characterize this region of southern Patagonia for a night in an authentic, intimate and comfortable estancia.

Night Estancia Tercera or Estancia Guido, according to availability. All meals included (wine/drinks available at extra cost).

Estancia Tercera
Day 5: Hike to base of Towers. Night hotel
After a breakfast of home baked bread and pastries we will pack our day packs and drive west towards the granite peaks that give the Park its name, Las Torres.

Our hike today is the challenging hike to the base of the towers, one of Paine's most famous and challenging hikes. A round trip trek that takes us into the Ascending Valley and through old growth forests before reaching the final section where we hop across a moraine field. A last push over these boulders rewards us with one of the most amazing views in southern Patagonia.

Weather permitting we will eat our packed lunch at this incredible vantage point before heading back to our waiting vehicle and returning to our comfortable lodge in Puerto Natales (the Kau Lodge or similar).

Breakfast and lunch included. Dinner at leisure in one of the town's many excellent restaurants.
