We were fortunate to do a bespoke trip with Blue Green Adventures, the organisation was outstanding, there was always someone to support us when needed and the trip itself was the best ever, everything was as described and more.
My daughters and I are now back in Canada and I wanted to drop you a note to thank you both for an amazing visit to Patagonia. Our trip was so much fun. We loved the horses, the accommodation, the food and wine, and especially our driver Christian, all of the local guides who lead us out on our daily adventures, and our trip guide, Tomas.
We could not have asked for a better guide – we enjoyed Tomas’ company, his stories and learned so much from him about the wildlife, the horse culture and the history of the region. Each day was a little different and each day was a wonder.
We hope to have the chance to return to Patagonia another time and would definitely reach out to you should that happy occasion occur.
We entrusted BlueGreen to arrange our honeymoon to Patagonia and the Atacama and they did this brilliantly! The accommodation, the hiking, the guides and the transfers between Argentina and Chile all went absolutely according to plan and it was wonderful not to have to think about anything! Even when there was a slight health issue, there was no panic – a visit to the hospital was arranged and the lovely Claudia assisted me with this (even more laudable since it occurred on a Sunday!) What a wonderful trip – thanks to Lian and all the BG staff and guides.
Overall, we had a great time on the trek. The guides were excellent, the accommodation was better than expected (certainly better than Nepal), and the scenery was spectacular. Thanks for all your prompt feedback through the process and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending BG to other potential trekkers.
For us the trip was phenomenal! We were so lucky with the weather and the wind and got to see so many different animals and of course the whales. Also the group was perfect, different ages, very respectful, all curious. And the crew we loved and might have made some lasting friendships.
What is to say in general, being on a small boat with a small group of people might not be for everyone. Also, if the waves are big (mostly due to wind), some people will get sea sick and vomit. But it’s not depending on age: Leon, the youngest was 5 years old and Victor, the oldest was 74 years old. Also, when the weather is bad, one has to be prepared to see less or it being harder going outside on the boat due to higher waves, wind or rain.
For us, this was perfect, being in a small group, getting so much information and kind attention and having it feel more like an adventure than a tourist attraction. The domes were beautiful and heated and ready for us in the evening. We were warm and cosy the whole night. The meals were good and turned into laughter and wine and even singing. For us this trip was the highlight of our travels. Whenever we thought it couldn’t get better, it got better again. It was worth everything and more!
To make a long story short, my stay in Guido was way beyond expectations! Estancia Cerro Guido is a truly outstanding and very special place with an amazing management and staff. It is (and I know Chile/Arg/Urug quite well) probably one of the nicest places I have seen in Cono Sur, a genuine oasis! I also wanted to say a warm word of thank you to Enrique Concha who, together with his team, has made this experience unforgettable for me. Estancia Cerro Guido truly deserves an outstanding review and I hope many more guests will be able to enjoy this place and the hospitality of its people.
THANK you,
We’d dreamt of riding in Patagonia for 25 years and our trip with BlueGreen Adventures lived up to all of it. Patagonia is a magical, mystical, magnificent land; many times we felt as if we rode thru a film set, such is its beauty. Our horses were wonderful, our guides brilliant, the places we stayed were perfect for our needs and BlueGreen Adventures handled all of it with real care. If you’ve dreamt of it too, don’t wait another minute. Go, and go with them. BlueGreen Adventures will look after you.
Travsessed Patagonia would not be possible without the support and help of our local team here in Patagonia @bluegreenadventures. They are incredible and make everything so easy and seamless.
We are home now, unpacking and trying to settle back into regular life. I’m not sure I can adequately express how wonderful everything was – our experiences far exceeded our hopes and expectations in so many ways. Everything was so well planned and we appreciated all the attention to detail. Yes, please feel free to use the photos in your materials. We are so happy with all of them and can’t wait to get them printed for ourselves! What a bonus to have Carlos with us for our Grey Lake kayak trip. We look forward to the video when it is ready.
The Hotel Simple was exquisite and the wedding ceremony and dinner were beautiful. We so appreciated all your additional touches – the flowers on the table, the candle, the bouquets. The whole evening was beyond comprehension. It filled us with peace and joy and contentment. What a way to begin married life!!
The tour excursions were amazing – we saw such incredible scenery and met such wonderful people along the way. We returned from each one so energized from our new experiences and also exhausted from the activity! Success. Gabi and Patricio were personable, considerate, flexible, and just simply wonderful to work with. Thank you for your communication with us before and during the process and for all your efforts. We appreciate all that you did. When we each have shared our favorite parts of the trip, we can come up with highlights from every part of our time in Chile. How amazing is that. As Gabi said upon our departure, “We leave with a bit of Patagonia in our hearts.”
Overdue…but sincere thanks for a remarkable trip to Patagonia and Torres del Paine National Park!! You are the BEST!!
I consider our trip a spectacular success…even though I was not able to do the circuit.
My husband, Don, has hiked all over the world, and he was simply “blown away” (in the best meaning of the phrase) by the grandeur of the scenery on the circuit. Of course, the Paso Gardner and Valle Frances were highlights for him, but he truly enjoyed the entire circuit.
Our guides, Alejandro and Paula were wonderful ~ so professional, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Alejandro had to make some difficult decisions, but was able to have those inevitable “difficult conversations” with compassion. He was an excellent leader. Paulita was my constant companion, as well as Laura’s. She was keen to make sure we had a great time, and thought of all kinds of alternatives. She was always happy and full of energy and enthusiasm and excellent recommendations.
The coordination and communication from your end, to make major, last minute, adjustments in our schedule was amazing, and much appreciated. All of our drivers ~ from Jonathan and his expert 4wheel drive from near Refugio Dickson, all the way to Puerto Natales ~ to all of the transportation provided by the unique Puchi, and everyone in between…were excellent. The coordination of transfers was seamless, and much appreciated.
I wish I had planned an extra day in Puerto Natales…to explore around, and to meet you…at least Claudia, and to thank you in person. Our lodging arrangements were wonderful, too. We had time to enjoy the lovely Hosteria Hielos in el Calafate. El Calafate has about 10 times the population now, compared to when I was there in 2004! Even though Puerto Natales has grown, too, it seems to have retained some of it’s original charm…not so touristy!
Lian…thank you, again…for YEARS of patient communication, reassurance, and a wealth of information. Your assistance has been most appreciated.
I first wanted to thank you both for the amazing trip you created for my family. It exceeded our expectations in every way. We are so appreciative of the professionalism, positive attitude and good nature of all your employees. Rubian, Leo and Francisco are one of a kind individuals who consistently go above and beyond in every interaction. My boys cried and were so sad after we had to say goodbye to Rubian on Friday. All three need to be recognized as they are responsible for our wonderful experience.
Just wanted to let you know we are back safely at the Amerindia. The whole trip was amazing, Alejandro was fantastic (and very patient with our giggles and antics). We are all exhausted and going to bed. I will e-mail again with anything else I think of. Weather was also fabulous. Thanks for all your help in arranging, I will certainly be recommending Blue Green to any friends who inquire.
