Custom Travel Patagonia
All Travel StylesVacations and journeys in Patagonia and beyond
We have been operating fully supported, guided adventure and exploratory trips in and around the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park in southern Chile for over 25 years. We were an early pioneer of the ‘travel local’ ethos when we launched our first trip in 1997. We also work with a small network of local experts and niche operators in other parts of Chile, Argentina and Antarctica all of whom have the same ethos and work to the same high standards as we do.
Let BlueGreen Adventures plan your trip

As an independent, owner-managed Anglo-Chilean travel agent/operator with over twenty five years experience of organising holidays we can help you discover the real south.
With the benefit of our local office in Puerto Natales you will receive up to the minute local knowledge and advice. Encounter Wildlife
Wildlife is woven into the Patagonian landscape. Guanacos roam the steppe, condors soar overhead and, with luck, even the elusive puma may appear. Along the coast, penguins, seals, dolphins and whales inhabit the cold southern waters. Tell us what is on your wildlife wish list, and we will help shape an itinerary around it. Take a boat charter
Patagonia’s waterways offer everything from scenic glacier cruises and lake crossings to longer journeys through fjords and remote wilderness areas. For a more bespoke option, a private charter unlocks a more remote side of the region and it can be a great option for your family or group wanting to explore the wilder side of Patagonia. For other boat ideas, click here.

Kayak with Whales
Sail and kayak close to whales between the fjords and glaciers of the Magellan Straits in this transformational full day excursion out of Punta Arenas. You will paddle out into a pristine and abundant natural environment in kayaks for an unforgettable up close encounter with humpback whales, a truly transformational journey and a great addition to your custom Patagonia adventure.

What about camping?
Camping is one of the best ways to experience Patagonia and it is highly recommended for families and those wanting to reach the lesser known areas. Whether in a national park or a remote wilderness setting, it offers the chance to disconnect from distractions and reconnect with nature. We provide all camping equipment, and where possible, we can include camp cooks who will prepare outdoor meals and local wines under the southern stars.

Experience Gaucho Life
A unique, exciting and authentic immersion into gaucho life for hardy individuals and experienced riders. Witness life on a Patagonian ranch, ride out to remote puestos among granite filled landscapes and endless pampas and take part in moving animals, branding and other local work and customs. A unique opportunity to hear the real stories from those that live this unique way of life and learn about their culture.

Track wild horse herds
At the heart of this journey is one of Patagonia’s few female estancieras, dedicated to protecting the wild bagual horses of Sierra Baguales. Once seen as a nuisance, these untamed herds are now central to her conservation work. Spend time on the estancia to learn about the project, enjoy local hospitality and experience the dramatic landscapes of the Sierra Baguales. Full details coming to this page.

Enjoy a private chef cook out
Why not experience a personal chef-prepared meal during your custom trip to Patagonia. With a menu to suit your particular taste, we can arrange for a private chef to cook for you at a remote ranch house or campsite depending on your itinerary and logistics. With a focus on local cuisine, paired with local wines, this is a great way to connect with the landscape through its produce whether the menu includes succulent lamb from the nearby estancias or trout from Patagonia’s rivers.

Take a remote hike
The W and The Circuit are Torres del Paine’s most popular hikes but there are also a wealth of opportunities to explore some of the area’s lesser known trails such as the side hike to La Avanzada from the Dickson Valley, or the short but intense hike to the dramatic Mt Ferrier look-out. Some of the options are only available with a licensed guide, if you are seeking solitude, great scenery, and serious adventure ask us for details.

Take an exciting Zodiac Ride
For a novel waterborne way to enter or exit Torres del Paine, why not join a boat navigation that takes you from the dock in Puerto Natales to the southern tip of Bernardo O’Higgins before continuing with a Zodiac ride up the Serrano River to the Park (or vice versa). Side trips include a walk to the Serrano Glacier hidden in the forest and an authentic gaucho asado at a fjord-side estancia. Or, we can add various twists including a wild camp night, a hike to Geike Glacier, a horse ride or hike for part of the journey or an overnight in a glacier lodge.

Sunrise trek to the Towers
Leaving at first light this is a classic and challenging Patagonia experience. The full-day hike leads through forests, valleys, and glacial terrain to the base of the iconic Towers. The final view is unforgettable, a reward that captures the essence of Torres del Paine’s scale and wild beauty. Ask about adding this hike to your private Torres del Paine adventure and we will arrange it.

Paddle out near Glaciers
There is a quiet sense of freedom that comes with paddling across Patagonia’s glacial waters. The mountains seem larger, the landscape more remote and the connection to nature more immediate. Floating beneath immense glaciers offers a unique water level perspective that few visitors experience. Options vary according to age and experience, ask for details.

Honeymoons and weddings
From Torres del Paine’s unforgettable mountainscape to Antarctica’s sublime wilderness, we’ll help you find the perfect backdrop to the start of a new life. Whether you’re planning an active honeymoon, an intimate elopement, or a ceremony in Antarctica, we’ll tailor every detail to you. Services available include specialist photographers, ministers, musicians and flowers.

Learn something new
Travel is about more than landscapes. Connect with Patagonia’s people, traditions and way of life through authentic cultural experiences, from conservation projects, artisan and cooking workshops to traditional rodeos. Ask us how we can incorporate these experiences into your journey.

Enjoy a gaucho asado
We highly recommend including a gaucho asado in your itinerary. Using techniques passed down through generations, local meat is slowly roasted over an open fire until it is tender and full of flavour. The process is unhurried, reflecting the rhythm and traditions of life in Patagonia. The process gives guests a chance to slow down, connect with local traditions and enjoy the simple pleasure of good food in an extraordinary setting.

Try paddle boarding
Winter in Patagonia can bring windless days and glassy waters, making it the perfect season for paddle boarding, which is becoming a popular activity in and around Torres del Paine during the off season.

Want to volunteer or give back
Ecotourism is about creating meaningful connections with the places we visit: conserving natural environments, minimizing our footprint and supporting local communities. From community initiatives such as working with disadvantaged children to volunteering on an estancia, we can help you make your journey both memorable and impactful. If you have time, money or a skill to offer to a local project please let us know.

Combine activities with spa treatments
Heal body and mind while discovering one of the world’s most extraordinary destinations. Adding a yoga or spa ritual to your active trip in Torres del Paine can be a great way to unwind after the trip. Options are to spend a night or two in one of the area’s spa hotels or adding on treatments in Puerto Natales; we can arrange yoga, reflexology, massage, facials and more. We can even arrange mobile therapists to come to your hotel in the Park as part of a custom trip with us, a great way to stretch out tired muscles after a taxing hike. Ask us for ideas
